Blick in einen von Gestrüpp und Weinranken bewachsenen Innenhof mit Scheunenüberdachung, darin ein großes Weinfass, in dem ein junger Bauer die Trauben tritt. Davor ein bärtiger Mann beim Abladen eines Traubenbottichs von zwei Eseln, eine junge Frau mit einem Kind wartet mit ihrem mit Trauben gefüllten Bottich. Im Hintergrund Bäuerin an einem offenen Herdfeuer, rechts unten Schafe und Küken. Qualitätvolle, naturalistisch-realistische Malweise des italienischen Realismo. Die abendliche Lichtstimmung fein wiedergegeben, die Details im Bild wie etwa ein Wandbrett mit Andachtsbild vor gekalktem Hintergrund an der Steinmauer links.
