Athletischer Körper in Bewegung in transparenten Weißtönen vor schwarzem Hintergrund. Velickovic ist einer der berühmtesten serbischen Künstler unserer Zeit. Nach seiner Mitarbeit in Krsto Hegedusic's Stu dio in Zagreb, zog er 1966 nach Paris. Von 1983-2000 war Velickovic Professor an der École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. 1985 trat er der Serbischen Akademie für Wissenschaften und Künste bei. Auch wurde ihm die höchste französische Auszeichnung im Bereich Kultur und Kunst, den Commandeur dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres, verliehen. Seine Gemälde sind seit 1951 in zahlreichen Ausstellungen in Europa und USA zu sehen. (861442)

Athletic body in motion in transparent layers of white on a black background. Velickovic is one of the most prominent Serbian painters. After working in Krsto Hegedusic's Master workshop in Zagreb he moved to Paris in 1966. From 1983 until 2000 he was professor at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. In 1985 he was elected as a member of Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts. He was honoured with the highest French award in the field of culture and art, Commandeur dans l'ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Since 1951 his paintings were exhibited in many countries in Europe and America.
