Über der runden, stark profilierten und gekehlten, roten Marmorbasis die aufgesetzte Terrakotta-Büste, welche in stark bewegtem Gewand den Kopf nach links wirft, die Perücke jedoch konform geht mit der Ruhe, die das Gesicht ausdrückt. Einige Brüche in der Terrakotta, die teilweise rest. sind, verschiedenen Alters. Terrakotta auf Marmorbasis, stark besch. und rest.
Anmerkung:
Jean-Jacques Caffieri war Skulpteur des Königs Ludwig XV, war Sprössling einer italienischen Skulpteursfamilie, welche während der Zeit Kardinals Mazarin nach Frankreich zog. Dort wurde er besonders für seine Terrakotta- und Marmor-Büsten bekannt, die zum Beispiel Jean-Phillippe Rameau und Pierre Corneille darstellten. (8616922)
