Im Zentrum zwei nach links ziehende Reiter mit Pistole und Degen, gefolgt von einem reitenden Fähnrich. Im Vordergrund zwei bereits niedergegangene Pferde der Gegner, ein Reiter auf einem Schimmel im Harnisch mit Schwert, von der Pistolenkugel getroffen. Am rechten Bildrand wird hinter Kanonenrauchwolken eine hochstehende Burg mit zwei Türmen sichtbar. Links hinten Schlachtengetümmel bis zum Horizont unter bewegten Wolken in barocker Auffassung.
