In feiner Malweise naturalistisch wiedergegebene Stube mit Holzverkleidung an den Wänden sowie Holzbänken und einem Tellerschrank in der Ecke, links ein gedeckter Tisch mit stillebenhaft darauf niedergelegter Porzellantasse, Brot mit Messer, Zinnkanne und Zinntellern, die Wände sind geschmückt mit Gitarre, Jagdhorn und mehreren Bildchen. Das Thema des Bildes in psychologisierender Auffassung: Ein kleines Mädchen lockt den Spaniel-Hund mit einer Scheibe Brot, daneben wohl die größere Schwester mit Näharbeiten beschäftigt, die Nähstücke in zwei Körben verteilt.
