Persiflage auf den Kult der Raucherrunde des 17. Jahrhunderts. Demgemäß bilden hier Meerkatzen in zeitgenössischer Kleidung die Runde, jeweils mit Meerschaumpfeifen. Drei der Affen tragen eine Amtskette, ein vierter Affe mit schwarzem Fell wohl als Anspielung auf die Geistlichkeit. Auf dem Tisch Rauchzeug, davor ein Affe mit bunter Narrenkappe mit einem Früchtekorb beschäftigt. Am rechten Bildrand ein Stellhocker, darauf Deckelkanne, Weinglas und eine Meerschaumpfeife. Dahinter ein weiterer Affe mit Federhut und Pfeife im Gürtel. Links oben schaut ein Affe durchs Fenster.(831881)
