Fein gemaltes, großbürgerliches Interieur mit einem jungen, schwarzhaarigen Mädchen in weißem Kleid, das auf einem Polsterstuhl gebettet liegt, sanft lächelnd, während ein weiteres Mädchen in schwarzem Seidenkleid erfreut ihre Genesung bemerkt. Das Interieur delikat angereichert durch höfische Einrichtungsgegenstände wie Kamin-Trumeau mit vergoldeter Uhr, japanischer Lackschachtel, Porzellangeschirr auf einem Rundtisch sowie einem Tigerfell am Boden. Den Hintergrund der beiden Figuren bildet ein Chinoiserie-Paravent, auf dem Tisch ein in Seidenpapier gefasster Rosenstrauß. Gegenstände in nahezu fotografischer Detailgenauigkeit, Körper, Gesichtsausdruck und Hände in äußerster Feinheit und Delikatesse wiedergegeben.(831593)
