Einer der berühmtesten Feldherrn des Hauses Savoyen in Österreich, war seit 1697 Oberbefehlshaber im großen Türkenkrieg. Als Bauherr und Kunstsammler galt er als einer der bedeutendsten Mäzene seiner Zeit. Halbbildnis mit Kopfhaltung nach rechts, der Kopf gerahmt vom Lockenhaar der Allongeperücke, der Prinz bekleidet mit einem Harnisch, an der Brust Ordensband mit Malteserkreuz. An der Unterseite des Reliefs geschnitztes Sockelband mit gravierter Aufschrift „Eugenius". Im fein ornamentierten Kupferrähmchen, verso alte Tuschbezeichnung. Schöne Alterspatina. (8114713)
