Klippenufer mit aufgewühlter Brandung, einem Leuchtturm mit Holzfeuer und einem besetzten Kahn in Schiffsnot zwischen den Klippen. Im Hintergrund ein wohl an den Klippen gestrandeter großer Dreimaster, dessen Besatzung sich im Kahn im Vordergrund in Sicherheit bringt. Rechts weitere Figuren bei der Rettung Schiffbrüchiger. Die Szene dramatisch beleuchtet durch die Vollmondscheibe zwischen hellen und dunklen Gewitterwolken. (811741)
