Im Zentrum des Bildes hell aufleuchtend das küchenfertig gerupfte Huhn (Pute?) auf einem Zinnteller, mit darauf sitzender Fliege zwischen zwei roten Äpfeln, einem dahinter liegenden Kohlkopf und roten Rüben an der rechten Seite. Die Gegenstände auf einer massiven Steinplatte abgelegt. Dass das Stilleben als Vanitasmotiv aufzufassen ist, zeigt der links an der Steinplattenecke aufgelegte Apfel, der schon zur Hälfte angefault erscheint. (810951)
