Bezeichnend für diese Form der Mariendarstellung ist u.a. die frontale Stellung von Mutter und Kind zum Betrachter. Ihre Haltung strahlt Erhabenheit aus, ihr Blick schweift ins Grenzenlose. Maria weist mit der rechten Hand auf das in ihrer linken Armbeuge sitzende Kind. Christus hat die Rechte zum Segen erhoben, in seiner Linken hält er eine Schriftrolle. Freigelegter Kreidegrund.
