Zwei große Bronzefiguren. Die legendäre Nitokris war entweder die Ehefrau oder die Schwester des Menthusuphis, und folgte dessen Mörder auf den ägyptischen Thron im Jahre 2193 vor Christus. Nitokris rächte Menthusuphis, indem sie ein unterirdisches Bankett organisierte und diese Räumlichkeit flutete, während sie sich einen Fluchtweg offenhielt. Beiliegend ein Paar Plexiglas-Sockel.
Anmerkung:
Emil Louis Picault stellte zwischen 1863 - 1909 regelmäßig im Salon aus, wobei seine ägyptischen Figuren das populärste Thema waren. (790368)
