Der jugendliche David mit nacktem Oberkörper, mit einem Fell bekleidet, auf dem Kopf ein rotes Barett mit weit hochschwingender Feder, hält den übergroß wiedergegebenen Kopf des Riesen Goliath auf einem Steinsockel. In der rechten Hand die Steinschleuder, am Boden das Schwert des Philisters. In symbolischer Weise ist der Held und Sieger an eine Säule gelehnt wiedergegeben - Symbol der Stärke -, der Kopf des unterlegenen Feindes auf einem Steinblock. Frühe, alte Kopie. (790772)
