Blick auf die Ehrenhofseite der breiten Schlossanlage mit erhöhtem Mittelbau mit Dachlaterne, langen Seitenflügeln und Eckbauten mit oktogonalen Kuppelaufsätzen. Abschluss des Ehrenhofes mit großer Treppe durch ein Gitter mit Steinpfeilern. Links im Vordergrund Anlegestelle zum Gewässer des Tajo-Flusses. Reiche Figurenstaffage in Kostümen des 18. Jahrhunderts. Die Schlossanlage, ehemals über den Resten eines Klosters errichtet, entstand erstmals um 1560 und erfuhr mehrfache Umbauten, so dass der jetzige Zustand von dem im Bild gezeigten stark abweicht. Ca. 50 km südlich von Madrid gelegen, erhielt die Anlage unter Karl III. bis 1778 zwei weitere Flügel um den ovalen Schlossplatz. (7707012)
