Großformatiges Bild mit Blick über schroffe Felsen auf eine vom Gewitterlicht beleuchtete Bucht mit in parallelen Reihen herankommenden Wellen mit Schaumkronen. Im Hintergrund mehrere Segelschiffe in leichter Schräglage, ebenfalls wirkungsvoll und theatralisch beleuchtet. Links hinten am Horizont aufziehende, dunkle Regenwolken, die sich nach rechts auflösen. Auf der linken Bildseite ein Hohlweg, der zur Bucht führt, mit zwei Eselreitern. Leicht pastose Maltechnik.
