Im Zentrum ein nach hinten ziehender Fluss, in den einige Landzungen einziehen, darauf Gebäude und Kirchtürme. Im Vordergrund eine morsche Holzbrücke, links am erhöhten Ufer eine Gehäusegruppe mit dahinterstehendem, kleinen Kirchlein mit Dachreiter am Fuß einer bewaldeten Anhöhe. Auf dem Gipfel eine Burgruine. Links, über ein altes Haus hinweg stark gebeugter Baum, dessen Krone in die Wolken ragt. Gelbliches Spätlicht, das die Wolken von unten beleuchtet, darüber blauer Himmel. Im Vordergrund ein Reiter neben zwei am Weg lagernden Figuren. (7217511)
