Paar große Fischplatten der Nanking-Cargo
Die beiden ungewöhnlich großen Platten zeigen
im Spiegel in Unterglasurblau Malerei vier sich im Wasser tummelnde Fische mit auffallend ausgeprägten Flossen. Das Wasser ist schlicht und eindrucksvoll durch Gräser und Farbtupfer angedeutet. Die Fahne zeigt Blumenbouquets.

Anmerkung:
Es handelt sich um zwei Exemplare aus der berühmt gewordenen sog. Nanking-Cargo, einem gewaltigen Schiffsfund in der Südchinesischen See, der von Captain Hatcher geborgen wurde. Es war dies die erste von zahlreichen weiteren Entdeckungen - wohl auch mit den qualitätvollsten Porzellanen. Die beiden Platten zeichnen sich von der großen Menge der anderen Stücke durch eine hohe Qualität aus.
