Reich beschnitzte Kassette um 1720
Kunstkammerstück, allseitig in reichem Flachrelief geschnitzt mit Blattwerk, auf dem Deckel ein Mittelfeld mit verschlungenen Pfeilen. Die eingestreuten Embleme lassen vermuten, daß es sich um ein Hochzeitsgeschenk handelte. Die Scharniere und das Schloß fehlen.
Anfang 18. Jahrhundert.
Anmerkung:Diese Kassetten gelten als typische Arbeiten der in Nancy tätigen Bildhauer- und Schnitzerfamilie Bagard. Fast identische Stücke im Musée des Arts Décoratifs, Paris und im Museum in Nancy. (6212221)
