Eduard Kaempffer 1859 Münster,
MUTTER MIT KIND Schüler der Düsseldorfer Akademie unter Janssen und Eduard von Gebhard, später Schüler der Müncher Akademie. Er erhielt 1893 in München und in Berlin je eine Goldmedaille. Ab 1895 Lehrer an der Kunstschule in Breslau. Stellte wiederholt im Münchern Glaspalast aus. Im abgedunkeltem Interieur, fein beleuchtet eine im dunklen Kleid sitzende junge Mutter mit roten Bändern im Haar, das ihr auf dem Tisch stehendes Kind küsst. Äußerst qualitätvolle Genremalerei, die den Einfluss der Münchern Schule insbesondere von Löftz dokumentiert. Öl/ Lwd. 42 x 32,5 cm. Links unten sign. Dat. 1885. Ortsbez. Düsseldorf. (551189)
