ARIADNE UND BACCHUS AUF NAXOS Mythologische Szenerie der Flucht der Ariadne. Die Königstochter in blauem kleid mit rotem Umhang mit weit geöffnetem Oberkleid an einem Felsen über tiefer liegender Landschaft sitzend. Neben ihr der Weingott Bacchus, in seinem Gefolge der geflügelte Amor mit Fackel sowie zwei Panther an einem Traubenkorb. Die Panther sind als Attribut des Weingottes zu verstehen, der der Sage nach von einer Pantherin gesäugt wurde. Öl/ Lwd. 71 x 83 cm. (5505527)
