TAUFE DES KÄMMERERS Neutestamentliche Szene, im Zentrum ein orientalische gekleideter Fürst in gelbem Kleid mit rotem Umhang und Turban in Begleitung eines weiteren Würdenträgers. Dahinter ein auf einem Schimmel reitender Mohr, das Pferd von einem herrschaftlich gekleideten Mohrenknaben geführt. Links im Bild ein Mohrenfürst, der soeben von einem der Apostel getauft wird. Die Malerei zeigt deutliche Einflüsse der Rembrandt-Nachfolge, in der der genannte Maler steht. Mit besonderer Betonung der aufleuchtenden orientalischen Textilien. Öl/ Eichenholz. 36,5 x 46,5 cm.
