Die beiden in einem steinernen Fensterrahmen wiedergegeben, das Mädchen an der Brüstung sitzend mit einem Nähkorb, sie hält ihrem Kavalier die Nadel entgegen. Er führt behutsam den Faden ins Nadelöhr. Die fein wiedergegebene Szenerie ist nicht ohne erotische Anspielung, ganz im Sinne des 18. Jhdts., das der Maler hier wieder vergegenwärtigen will.
