Kelch in Elfenbein und Horn
Der Schaft des Kelches und Fuß in Elfenbein gedreht, in Mitte des Schaftes gedrehter Nodus sowie weitere tief gekehlte Rundprofile. Der sich weitende Fuß mit kräftiger Hohlkehle, flankiert von schlankeren Kehlungen, die Kuppa in Rhinozeros-Horn mit fein profilierter Lippe und umlaufenden Stabprofilen am Ansatz. H.: 19 cm. Oberer D.: 7,7 cm. 17. Jhdt. Anmerkung: In Elfenbein gedrehte Gegenstände dieser Art stammen zuweilen von der Hand fürstlicher Herrschaften. So ist überliefert, dass die Mitglieder des Hauses Wittelsbach traditionsgemäß das Kunst-Dreherhandwerk erlernen mussten und Gegenstände dieser Art gefertigt haben. Altersbedingt Risse am Fuß und an der Kuppa. (540116)
