Giovanni Battista Busiri 1698 - 1757
In der 1. Hälfte des 18. Jhdts. in Rom tätig, genannt Tittarella ANSICHT DES COLOSSEUMS IN ROM Stimmungsvolle arkadische Ideal-Ruinenlandschaft, im Zentrum die Ruine des römischen Colosseums vor dem Weichbild der Stadt Rom, im Vordergrund mehrere antike Kapitelle und Reliefsteine. Am rechten Bildrand hochaufragender Baum mit hochrankenden Weinblättern. In die Landschaft einkomponiert Hirten mit Rindern sowie zwei lagernde Personen, eine Römerin, die mit ausgestreckter Hand auf die Ruine des Colosseums deutet. Ohne Rahmen.
Öl/Lwd. 60 x 87 cm.
Anmerkung: Dem Gemälde ist ein Gutachten von Prof. Giancarlo Sestieri, Rom, vom 9. Dezember 2000 beigegeben, in dem das Gemälde dem oben genannten Maler zugewiesen wird. (491257)
