Geb. 1600 in den Niederlanden - nach 1650 Sizilien PAAR SCHLACHTENGEMÄLDE Stürmische Reiterschlachten. Reiter und Pferde in dichtem Kampfgetümmel, im Zentrum des Bildes jeweils zusammengeballt, dahinter dunkle Kanonenrauchwolken und Fußvolk, in einem der Bilder nach rechts fliehende Pferde, in Richtung auf eine Burg, verfolgt von einem Ritter mit gezogenem Schwert. Lebendige Kompositionen in auffallend hell-dunklen Farbauftrag mit Reduktion auf die wesentlichen Bildelemente, Hintergund in diesigem Licht. Schemenhaft wiedergegeben, starke kräftige Wolkenbildung.
