HIMMELFAHRT MARIENS Extrem querformatige Darstellung des Bibelgeschehens. Im Zentrum Maria in Sitzhaltung in weissem Gewand in einer strahlenden Mandorla zwischen Wolken schwebend, überhalb des Sarkophages dargestellt. Seitlich jeweils Gruppierungen der Apostel, zwei im Inneren des Sarkophages knieend, die übrigen stehend, in antikischer Mantelkleidung wiedergegeben. Anmerkung: Der Stil weist auf die Schulnachfolge des Malers von Tintoretto in Venedig. Die Johannes - Figur weist zudem Ähnlichkeit mit der ähnlichen Darstellung in Soglianis Fresko im Refektorium von San Marco in Florenz auf. Öl/Lwd. Doubliert. 45 x 123,5 cm.
