BEWEINUNG CHRISTI Maria Magdalena, Maria, Johannes und eine weitere trauernde Gestalt am liegenden Leichnam Christi. Im Hintergrund ein mit fragender Miene stehender, römischer Soldat neben dem Eingang zur Grabeshöhle. Links im Hintergrund landschaftlicher Ausblick auf den Berg Golgatha. Öl/Holz. 62 x 80 cm. Im originalen Rahmen. Anmerkung: Dem Gemälde ist eine Expertise von Prof. Dr. Werner Sumowski vom 24.11.1997 beigelegt, dass das hervorragende Gemälde 1822 im Auftrag des Hauptpostmeisters Breyer entstanden ist. Das Gemälde ist im Werksverzeichnis bei Paul Köster (Eberhard Wächter 1762-1852, ein Maler des deutschen Klassizismus, Diss. von 1969, S. 170, Katalognummer 56, Seite 186 und Seite 258 als verschollen erwähnt. Provenienz: Sammlung Breyer, Stuttgart (1822), 1847 noch in der Familie. Weitere Besitzangaben in der Expertise vermerkt. (98432)
