Bedeutende Renaissance-Bronze einer Neptunfigur
Aufrechte Standhaltung des muskulösen Körpers, der Kopf nach links gewandt, der linke Arm ausgestreckt, der rechte zurückgenommen mit geöffneter Hand, die ehem. ein Attribut hielt. Das linke Standbein auf dem Sockel, das Spielbein auf einen Delphin gestellt (Schwanzflosse und einige Finger der Figur fehlen). Fein ausgearbeiteter Bronzeguss, Haupt- und Barthaare fein ziseliert. Alte, dunkeloliv-schwarze Patina. Anmerkung: Die Bronze wurde anläßlich einer Ausstellung im Metropolitan-Museum of Art, Okt. 1974 - Jan. 1975, gezeigt und dort auf Seite 173, Nr. 168 abgebildet.
