In den Horizont abschließendes, grisailleartig wiedergegebenes Gebäude, davor auf einem Pferd sitzender Reiter. Das Pferd von einer weiß gekleideten Frau im Zaum gehalten.
1984 erhielt Boulaye von François Mitterrand den Auftrag, zwei Gemälde für die englische Königin zu schaffen. In seinem Werk orientiert er sich an dem Impressionismus des Edgar Degas bzw. des Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
