Unter hohem Himmel im harmonischen Licht der untergehenden gelblichen Sonne ein Fluss mit kleinen Kaskaden in bergiger Landschaft. Linksseitig des Flusses führen mehrere Wege zwischen grünen Wiesenflächen, auf denen Schafherden grasen, zu einer alten großen Burgruine. Im Vordergrund links ein Kavalier auf einem Schimmel, der einer stehenden Frau mit kleinem Kind bei ausgestrecktem Arm wohl auf einen Weg hindeutet. Ihm voran ein kleines springendes, weiß-braun geflecktes Hündchen. Stimmungsvolle harmonische Malerei in der typischen Manier des Künstlers. (1360671) (18)
