Einmal der Markusplatz mit dem Campanile und dem hinten abschließenden Markusdom als eines der beliebtesten Motive der venezianischen Vedutenmalerei und einmal die Darstellung der Santa Maria Zobenigo, die auch als Chiesa di Santa Maria del Giglio bekannt ist und ein selteneres Bildmotiv darstellt.
Santa Maria Zobenigo erhielt ihren Namen durch die slawische Familie Jubanico, deren venezianischer Name Zobenigo lautet und mit großzügigen Stiftungen den Bau der Kirche beförderte, die jedoch 1680 dank einer Spende von Antonio Barbaro völlig neu errichtet wurde. Der dazugehörige Campanile, der hingegen noch aus dem 13. Jahrhundert stammte, stürzte 1775 ein. Die Fassade, die hier ganz nah an den Betrachter herangerückt ist, lässt die Skulpturen erkennen, die von dem flämischen Bildhauer Juste le Court und von Enrico Merengo gestaltet worden sind.
Der Maler war nahezu vergessen, bevor ihn Hermann Voss 1927/28 mit seinem Werk über die Veduten Venedigs wieder bekannt gemacht hat. Insgesamt sind von dem jung verstorbenen Maler etwa 24 Veduten Venedigs bekannt geworden.
