Provenienz:
Sotheby’s, London, 07. Juli 2011, Lot 147, als Flämische Schule. (13300536) (2) (13)

PORTRAIT OF AN ARMOUR-CLAD MAN
Oil on panel.
35 x 25.5 cm.

The depicted man in the present portrait could not be clearly identified, since not all bearers of the order are known. However, it seems likely that this is a portrait of John IV of Glymes, Marquess of Berghes (1528-1567).

Provenance:
Sotheby’s, London, 7 July 2011, lot 147, as Flemish School.

This object has been individually compared to the information in the Art Loss Register data bank and is not registered there as stolen or missing.
