Hoch aufgebauter, großer Blumenstrauß mit Rosen, Pfingstrosen, Tulpen, Nelken, Narzissen, Schwertlilien, Primeln, Malven und Mohnblumen sowie weiteren Frühlings- und Frühsommerblumen in leuchtenden frischen Farben. Bekrönt wird der Strauß durch eine Kaiserkerze. Von links oben nähert sich ein gelber Falter den Blumen; zwei weitere Schmetterlinge sind ebenfalls zu sehen. Der Strauß stehend in einer kugeligen roten Vase auf einer Marmorplatte, daneben liegend eine Ananas, ein Stiefmütterchen und ein Veilchen, vor grünlichem Hintergrund, der nach links zunehmend verschattet. Hervorragende prachtvolle Darstellung in vielen differenzierten Farbtönen in der typischen Manier des Künstlers, auf dessen Werken die dargestellte Marmorplatte öfters zu finden ist.
