Den Kopf auf einem Kissen ruhend und eine Schrifttafel neben sich legend, ruht das Mädchen da mit ausgezogenen Schuhen und neben ihr stehendem Korb, der mit Büchern angefüllt ist. Ein allegorischer Hintersinn im Sinne einer Erschöpfung der Gelehrsamkeit.
Anmerkung:
Ein Gemälde mit der gleichen Darstellung wird im Statens Museum in Kopenhagen verwahrt.
