Eine ländliche Szene mit einem schlichten Dorfplatz der von Weidenbäumen gesäumt wird, dient mehreren ländlichen Bewohnern als Spielplatz für ihre ländlichen Vergnügungen und Personengruppen als Ort des Vergügens. Im Vordergrund wird gekegelt, wobei eine Bank mit Krug der nötigen Erfrischung dient, während ein Mann auf einem Fass umringt ist von Bewohnern, denen er vermutlich zum Kauf stehende Druckgrafiken anpreist. Eine Frau sieht aus einem kleinen Haus im Mittelgrund zu. Watteau de Lille war Bruder des Jean-Antoine Watteau und war Gründungsmitglied des Musée Lillois des Beaux Arts. (1330727) (13)
