Die vorliegende Zeichnung, wohl von einem venezianischen Künstler, die in der oberen linken Ecke zusätzlich beschriftet ist, ist ein Ausschnitt nach einem größeren Gemälde, das eines von mehreren Bildern ist, die Tiepolo in den 1740er-Jahren zum Thema Marcus Antonius und Kleopatra malte.
