In Walnussholz reich beschnitzt. Auf acht konisch auslaufenden Füßen die symmetrisch geschnitzten aus Blattwerk und Delfinen gebildeten Beine, die durch eine kreuzförmige Zarge aus Rollwerk und Ornamentdekor zusammengefasst sind. Profilierte Zarge mit zentraler liegender bekrönter Kartusche. Den Zügen des Möbels folgende graubraun geäderte Marmordeckplatte.
Anmerkung:
Das Modell dieses Tisches – oder dieser Konsole – stammt aus dem Château de Bercy, in der Nähe von Paris, und wird im Musée du Louvre aufbewahrt. Diese Konsole wurde 1860 vom Garde-Meuble gekauft, als das Anwesen und das Château de Bercy aufgelöst wurden. Die gesamte Dekoration und die Möbel wurden von Charles-Henri II de Malon de Bercy unter der Leitung des Architekten Jacques de la Guêpière zwischen 1712 und 1714 in Auftrag gegeben. Alle geschnitzten Möbel wurden unter der Leitung der berühmten Sculpteurs des Bâtiments du Roi geschaffen: Jules Degoullons, André und Matthieu Legoupil, Marin Bellan und Pierre Taupin. Die Kartusche, welche die Konsole ziert, erinnert an die Kompositionen des Designers Pierre Le Pautre in seinem „Livre de Tables“, Tische, die in den Galerien verwendet wurden, um kostbare Vasen, Bronzen oder Mineralien auszustellen. Diese Konsole kam 1860 in die Sammlung des Garde-Meuble und wurde dann im Musée du Garde-Meuble ausgestellt (1879-1900), bevor sie 1901 ins Musée du Louvre kam. Während dieser Zeit war es Pariser Handwerkern erlaubt, ihn zu kopieren – und so entstand der hier angebotene Tisch. (1320909) (1) (13)
