Bronze, braune Patina. Originalausgabe „Giudici e Strada“ für A. Grubicy (Mailand). Nach dem heutigen Kenntnisstand beträgt unter Vorbehalt die bisher bekannte Auflage in Bronze zwei Exemplare.

Privatsammlung Italien.

Anmerkung:
Rembrandt Bugatti war ein italienischer Bildhauer. Er ist der jüngere Bruder des Automobilkonstrukteurs Ettore Bugatti. Sein Werk umfasst in erster Linie Tierplastiken und gilt als überaus eigenständige künstlerische Position innerhalb der Bildhauerei der Frühmoderne.

DOG WITH LOWERED TAIL, 190326 x 35 x 15 cm.
Signed “R. Bugatti” on the base, locally inscribed and dated “Milano 1903” (without foundry stamp).

Bronze, brown patina. Original edition “Giudici e Strada” for A. Grubicy (Milan). According to current knowledge, with reservations, the edition known so far in bronze is two copies.

Private collection Italy.

Notes:
Rembrandt Bugatti was an Italian sculptor. He is the younger brother of the automobile designer Ettore Bugatti. His work includes primarily animal sculptures and is considered an extremely independent artistic position within early modern sculpture.
