Die Hafenbucht in hellem Licht einer Nachmittagssonne, deren Strahlenbündel aus den Wolken ziehen. Die Ansicht vergleichbar mit Hafenveduten von Neapel, hier jedoch phantasievoll komponiert. Der große Bogen fungiert hier als Repoussoir, gibt jedoch den Figurenschmuck äußerst detailliert wieder. Die reiche Figurenstaffage zeigt Arbeiter und Handelsleute, teilweise in orientalischen Kostümen. Insgesamt eine sehr qualitätvolle Arbeit, dessen Maler links an einem Stein ein Monogramm hinterlassen hat (P..?) das derzeit noch nicht zuzuordnen ist. (1300126) (11)
