Monumentale Hand mit Stab in Marmor

Die Hand hält ein gekürztes Stück eines Stabes bzw. Speeres. Drei Finger umgreifen die Stabrundung, Daumen und Zeigefinger ausgestreckt angelegt. Bei dem Marmorobjekt dürfte es sich um eine Atelierarbeit eines bedeutenden Bildhauers handeln. In dieser Größe wäre an eine Feldherrnhand für eine geplante, wohl aber nie ausgeführte Monumentalstatue zu denken, etwa für ein Siegesdenkmal, was dem klassizistischen Stil der Skulptur entspricht.
Montiert auf einen würfelförmigen, leicht getreppten Sockel aus unterschiedlichen Marmorsorten. A.R. (1301793) (11)
