Musealer russischer Hostientabernakel in vergoldetem Silber mit Email Darokhranitelnitsa

Ganzheitlich feuervergoldet, imposantes Werk der russischen Silberschmiedekunst, in hohem, schlanken Aufbau. Ein von vier Säulen getragener, sich hoch auftürmender Baldachin beherbergt ein quaderförmiges Behältnis, dessen Deckel einen Sarkophag trägt, darauf der Leichnam Christi in Gravur, was auf die Hostienpyxis hinweist. Seitlich je ein hochreliefplastisch gestalteter Engel, der eine Stange mit Cherubenscheibe trägt. Die balusterförmigen Säulen auf hohem, quadratischem Sockel mit durchbrochen gearbeiteten und mit Email dekorierten Zargen. Der Turmaufbau mit steilen Dreiecksgiebeln, Eckpyramiden, bekrönt mit dem Russischen Kreuz mit Suppedaneum. Dazwischen ein pyramidenförmiges hohes Dach des Mittelturms, mit seitlichen Fenstern und gleichfalls mit Kugel und Kreuz bekrönt.
Die Emaildekorationen an den Giebeln, den Kugeln, Kreuzen und im Sockel weißgrundig, mit Hellblau und transluzidem Rubinrot.
Die Marke weist auf den Moskauer Beschaumeister Viktor Sawnikow, tätig von 1855-1888.
Laut beiliegenden Unterlagen ist anzunehmen, dass das hochwertige Kunstobjekt durch die Juwelierfirma Hahn (russ. Gan) vermittelt wurde, die an die Zarenfamilie bedeutende Werke geliefert hat, wie etwa die „Kleine Krone“, das Diadem der Zarin Marie Feodorovna für die Krönung Nikolaus‘ II. In der Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore (Inv.Nr. 57198) findet sich eine von Hahn verkaufte Geschenkdose. A.R. (12917920) (1) (11)
