Nach der Antike geschaffen. Die Dame trägt die hochfrisierte krause Kranzfrisur der Flavischen Epoche des 1. Jahrhunderts, wie etwa die Domitia Longina, Gemahlin des Kaisers Domitian. Der Kopf in weißem Marmor gearbeitet, dessen Patina eine lebensnahe Gesichtsfarbe aufweist, das Haar braun eingefärbt. Abschürfungen an Wangen und Kinn, vor allem an der Nase vermitteln den Eindruck einer antiken Originalplastik. Sehr schöner Gesichtsausdruck und gute Ausführung des 19. Jahrhunderts. A. R.
