Dr. Rusche war Chefarzt einer Augenabteilung in einer Bremer Klinik. Mit dem Ruhestand beginnt er 70jährig zu malen. Seine Motive findet er in seiner Wohngegend in Häfen, Klinkerbauten und Schiffen.
