Anfänglich Hausfrau begann Lickova ihre Träume und Erinnerungen des nachts auf Leinwand zu bannen. Mit ihren Gemälden sprach sie in ihrer Muttersprache Deutsch, während sie im Alltag Slowakisch sprach. Jeder Käufer erhielt eine Tüte mit Nahrungsmitteln, damit es die Bilder gut haben.
