Der in Ostpreußen geborenen Maler lebte mit seiner Frau und seinen 10 Kindern in der Eifel. Er wollte mit seinen Bildern ein wenig heile Welt zurückholen. Er malte die Harmonie aller Lebewesen im Einklang mit der Natur. Durch seinen Stil sicherte er sich die oberste Position im Bereich der naiven Malerei in Deutschland.
Provenienz:
Seit 1977 in süddeutscher Kunstsammlung.
