Adalbert Trillhaase (1858-1936) wurde von Otto Dix mit seiner Familie 1923 auch in einem die bedrückende Situation der Familie wiederspiegelndem Portrait verewigt, welches 1953 vom Land Berlin angekauft wurde. Eigentlich aus Erfurt stammend wurde Trillhaase in Düsseldorf ansässig und nahm ab 1925 an verschiedenen Ausstellungen teil, wurde jedoch 1933 von den Nationalsozialisten mit einem Ausstellungsverbot belegt. Zur Beschreibung nicht geöffnet.

Signed lower right. Gallery label, exhibition label and probably English exhibition label with no. “17” on the reverse.
Adalbert Trillhaase (1858-1936) was also immortalized by Otto Dix in the family portrait The Family of the Painter Adalbert Trillhaase, reflecting their oppressive situation in 1923, a painting that was acquired by the state of Berlin in 1953.
