Michiels Simons (Pseudo-Simons),
1620 – 1673, zug.

Gestrecktes Breitformat mit einer weiten rechteckigen Holztischplatte, die halb durch Tücher verdeckt wird. Darauf sanft gestaffelt Früchte wie Aprikosen, Zitronen, Pfirsiche, Trauben und Pflaumen nebst einer mächtigen Kassette, einer Sekt-Flöte à la façon de Venise, einem Brot und Zinntellern mit Krevetten.

Anmerkung:
Das Gemälde nimmt eine Parallelstellung ein zu einem von Simons signierten Gemälde, das im Mai 2000 bei Sotheby‘s, New York, Lot 57a, angeboten wurde und in Farbgebung mit dem hier angebotenen Bild übereinstimmt. Auch die hohe Flöte ist hier zu finden. (12704236) (13)
