Jahrhunderts weist. A.R.

A pair of paintings of biblical scenes
MOSES STRIKING WATER FROM THE ROCK
and
REBECCA AND ELIEZER ON THE WAY TO CANAAN TO MARRY ISAAC
Both oil on canvas, on original stretcher.
69 x 93 cm.
Both in gilt frame.
Both paintings executed in large landscape format and both framed by oval borders and created as counterparts. The painting style already seems to belong to a later phase, pointing to the stylistic ideas of the 18th century.
