Naples, 19th century.
Pressed tortoiseshell with gold piqué work. Rectangular base with recessed box and hinged lid. Decorated all around with rocaille and fish scales décor. Coat of arms on the lid with prince-elector crown with lined with ermine. Mirror monogram “CPJB” (?), surmounted by crown on underside.
