Direkt nach Mênes Modell „Fauconnier Arabe á Cheval“ fertigte er 1873 dieses Modell, welches den im 19. Jahrhundert vorherrschenden westlichen Erkundungsdrang im Orient wiederspiegelt und somit zur Popularität dieser Bronze beitrug. (12200314) (13)
